Join 4-H during the summer for Project Days where we build and create interesting, creative projects like wooden gumball machines, hyper-tufa containers, birdhouses, and more!

 

2017 4-H Project Days

4-H Project Days registration and payment must be received before your child is enrolled in a class. Limited spots available.

Two-Point Perspective Drawing ♣ Tuesday, June 6, 1-3pm
Learn to write your name using Two-Point Perspective. Make a beautiful piece of art that you can enter in the fair and then hang in your room!

Leaf Printing ♣ Thursday, June 8, 1-3pm
Learn about Kentucky trees! Identify 10 leaves and their primary uses, Then make a notebook of leaf prints displaying your new knowledge!

Making an Electromagnet ♣ Friday, June 9, 2-4pm
Learn about electricity using Snap Circuits, then mount your own electromagnet tht you can enter into the 4-H fair.

4-H Clover Photography ♣ Friday, June 16, 10am-12pm
Express your unique style by designing your own 3D 4-H clover and photographing it!

 

If your child is not already enrolled in 4-H, please complete the participation form.

Enter Your Project in the Fair!

Enter your projects in the fair to win ribbons and premiums! View the Fair Catalog online or at the Extension Office during fair season. Registration for fair entries should be submitted to the Oldham County Extension office by July 5.

Santa's Workshop

Moms and Dads, do you need a little bit more time to get those last few presents wrapped or to shop for the last gift on your list? If so, send your kids to the extension office to have some fun and make gifts they can give to their friends and family.

 

At the 2016 Santa's Workshop, 4-H'ers made candy, popsicle sleighs, tealight snowmen, pallet Christmas trees, and live wreaths. See 2016 Santa's Workshop pictures.
