The mission of the Oldham County Extension Foundation is to provide private funding opportunities to support Extension educational programs and activities.


The Oldham County Cooperative Extension Service is an educational outreach office of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, dedicated to helping the surrounding community. Oldham County Extension professionals provide educational programs in agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and economic development.

Did You Know?

  • Over 18,000 people participate in Oldham County Extension programs and services yearly. 
  • Extension volunteers give over 34,000 hours of service to our community yearly.
  • 816 youth participate in Oldham County 4-H monthly.
  • Oldham County Extension is one of twelve counties in Kentucky that does not receive funding from an Extension tax.
  • About one-half of Oldham County is made up of farm land, including pasture and woodlands.
  • Oldham County Extension reaches over 150 limited resource households monthly.
